1. What is Reshanti?

Reshanti is an online platform where you can book live, one-on-one yoga sessions with qualified independent Teachers. All sessions are held on video—no in-person classes.


2. Who are the Teachers?

All Teachers on Reshanti are independent professionals, not employees. They go through identity verification and must meet our standards before teaching.


3. What types of sessions can I book?

You can choose between:

  • Casual Plan– a one-off session
  • Commitment Plan – four weekly sessions at the same day and time for a 4-week cycle

4. How do Casual Session payments work?

When you request a session, your payment is reserved (authorized) but not taken yet.
If the Teacher accepts within 24 hours → the payment is captured.
If they don’t respond or decline → you are not charged at all.


5. How do Commitment Plan payments work?

A Commitment Plan is paid upfront for all four weekly sessions.
At the end of the 4-week cycle, the plan auto-renews, unless you cancel before renewal.


6. Can I cancel a session?

Yes:

  • If you cancel more than 12 hours before the start → full refund
  • If you cancel within 12 hours → no refund
  • No rescheduling option exists on the platform

This applies to both Casual Plan and Commitment Plan sessions.


7. Can I cancel an entire Commitment Plan?

Yes, at any time before the cycle ends.

You will get a pro-rata refund for all future sessions that are at least 12 hours away.
Any session within 12 hours → non-refundable.


8. What if the Teacher cancels?

You always get a full refund for that session.
Teacher penalties may also apply (warnings, hidden profile, or suspension), based on their history.


9. What if the Teacher doesn’t show up?

Stay in the session for 5 minutes, report the no-show, and you will receive a full refund.


10. What if I don’t show up?

Student no-shows are not refundable.
The session is forfeited.


11. What if my Teacher becomes unavailable during my Commitment Plan?

All remaining sessions will be refunded, and the plan will stop.
It will not auto-renew until you start a new plan.


12. Can I change the day or time of my weekly Commitment Plan sessions?

No. Commitment Plans have a fixed schedule for all four weeks.


13. Can I reschedule instead of cancelling?

No, there is no rescheduling on Reshanti.
It’s either:

  • Cancel >12 hours before the start time of the class → refund
  • Cancel <12 hours before the start time of the class → no refund

14. How does misconduct reporting work?

If anything feels uncomfortable, inappropriate, or unsafe, you can report it through the platform.
We ask for statements from both sides, and safety actions may be taken to protect users.

Serious cases may lead to temporary suspension while we review.


15. Can I share my personal contact details with the Teacher?

No. Off-platform communication or payments are not allowed.
This keeps everyone safe.


16. Why are payments sometimes shown in different currencies?

Prices are displayed based on your location and your device settings.
All financial processing is handled securely by Stripe or Revolut Pay.


17. Does Reshanti charge VAT?

Not at the moment.
Reshanti is below the Irish VAT registration threshold.
If VAT becomes required in the future, users will be notified.


18. Can I record my session?

No. Recording, screenshots, or screen capture are not allowed unless both you and the Teacher (and Reshanti) have given written consent.


19. When do Teachers get their payouts?

Teachers are paid by Reshanti after you and the Teacher confirm that the session took place—generally within 14 days.


20. How do I close my account?

FAQ for Teachers

 

1. What is Reshanti?

Reshanti connects you with Students for private, online yoga sessions.
You teach independently and we are the booking and payment platform.


2. How do I become a Teacher?

You need to:

  • Create an account
  • Complete identity verification through Stripe Identity
  • Upload a photo and an optional introductory video
  • Agree to our Terms, Policies, and Teacher Services Agreement

Once approved, you can start teaching immediately.


3. Am I an employee of Reshanti?

No. All Teachers are independent contractors.
You choose how you teach and set your own availability.


4. How do bookings work?

You may receive:

  • Casual Session requests
  • Commitment Sessions(4 weekly sessions)

You can accept or reject any booking.


5. How do payments for Casual Sessions work?

A Student’s card is authorized when they request a session.
If you accept within 24 hours → payment is captured.
If you don’t respond in time → the booking expires automatically.


6. How do payments for Commitment Plans work?

Students pay upfront for the full four-session cycle.
Each of those sessions counts toward your payouts individually once completed.

At the end of the cycle, the plan renews automatically unless the Student cancels.


7. What happens if I need to cancel a session?

If you cancel:

  • More than 12 hoursbefore the start time of the class → no penalty
  • Less than 12 hoursbefore the start time of the class → penalty on your profile
  • Short-notice bookings have their own penalty rules

Repeated late cancellations lead to:

  • Warning → 7-day search removal → 1-month search removal → 3-month suspension

8. What happens if I don’t show up for a session?

If you miss a session:

  • Student gets a refund
  • It counts as a no-show

Penalties:

1st no-show → hidden for 7 days
2nd → hidden for 1 month
3rd → permanent account termination


9. What if I become unavailable during a Student’s Commitment Plan?

Remaining sessions are refunded to the Student,
and your inability to continue may affect your standing on the platform.


10. When will I receive payouts?

You are paid within 14 days after a session is confirmed by both you and the Student.

No payouts are issued for:

  • Cancelled sessions
  • Refunded sessions
  • Late cancellations
  • No-shows
  • Sessions where Student was refunded due to your fault

11. Does Reshanti collect commission?

Yes, based on your lifetime number of completed sessions:

  • 19% for first 20 sessions
  • 17% for sessions 21–60
  • 15% for sessions 61+

Occasionally, lower promotional rates may apply.


12. Can I teach outside the platform or contact Students privately?

No.
All communication and payments must stay on Reshanti.

Asking for private communication or direct payments is a serious breach.


13. What do I need for teaching online?

You must ensure:

  • A stable internet connection
  • Proper audio and video setup
  • A calm and appropriate teaching environment
  • Ability to provide undisturbed, professional-quality sessions

If technical issues occur on your end, it counts as your responsibility.


14. Can I give medical advice?

No.
You may provide yoga instruction only—no diagnoses, treatments, or medical advice.


15. Can I use my profile photo or video for marketing?

Only if you explicitly opt in.
You can withdraw consent anytime (but not retroactively for past campaigns).


16. What happens if a Student behaves inappropriately?

You can report misconduct.
Reshanti will review the case and may issue warnings or suspend the Student.

For serious issues (sexual misconduct, threats, etc.), immediate safety actions may be taken.


17. Can I record sessions?

No, recording is prohibited unless both sides and Reshanti give written consent.


18. What happens if my recurring Student fails to pay for their Commitment Plan renewal?

The plan is paused for up to 48 hours.
Only the next upcoming class may continue.
If payment is not fixed → the plan is cancelled.


19. Can I see my payout history?

Yes, all payouts appear in your Teacher dashboard.
